VOLUNTEERS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE
Volunteers for Community Service (VCS): VCS is a student oriented service that seeks to connect students with volunteer and community service opportunities. The Volunteers for Community Service, through work with more than 200 non-profit organizations, provides volunteer opportunities for students to get involved with community service both on and off campus. Through VCS, we conduct various events on campus including presentations performed by non-profit organizations, collections and other community service activities. The office can work with your staff to locate individual volunteers, volunteer interns as well as groups of volunteers. Agencies should download either a Volunteer Description (DOC, PDF) for ongoing volunteer needs, or a Special Group Projects Request (DOC, PDF) form for one-time events or ongoing needs for student groups. If you need assistance, contact Urszula Zalewski, Career & Volunteer Programs Coordinator, 631-632-6814 or uzalewski@notes.cc.sunysb.edu. This information will be distributed to students through various departments, via email as well as get posted on ZebraNet.
