On-Campus Recruitment (OCR)
Submitting Resumes Online
On-Campus Recruitment (OCR) is a program through which company representatives from a variety of hiring organizations are brought to campus to interview students for specific openings - full time positions and internships. ZebraNet is an Internet-based electronic recruiting and resume posting service. We use this service here at Stony Brook to post recruiting job descriptions; students apply by submitting an electronic resume; students who are preselected for interviews actually sign up for an interview time using ZebraNet.

Company Presentations
- As part of the OCR program, companies often host a presentation the night before the interview date to help you learn about the organization. Often times, they bring recent SB grads to talk about their work. Many times, refreshments are available. Attending presentations are often not required, but HIGHLY recommended.
- Students who attend company presentations are much better informed about the company and are able to articulate how their skills and experiences match what the company is looking for.
- In some cases, students who were not selected for the interview were able to submit another resume following the presentation.
