What was your role?
My responsibility was to go out on the beach and monitor the Piping Plover. Also, I had to collect data on their behavior and also figure out different ways to protect them from predators.
What was the most rewarding aspect of your internship/research experience?
The most rewarding aspect was getting the chance on doing something I always wanted to do, and that’s working with the Park Service. I always saw myself working for the park and this was a big dream for me.
What is/was one example of a challenge you faced? Why?
An example of a challenge is being the leader of a group of kids that share the same passion that you do, and always being on your toes for new ideas.
How has this experience affected your future plan?
I would definitely make a career out of this because I love the outdoors. This job is perfect for that and it is always what I wanted to do.
